Pinot Grigio at Alois Lageder: Pinot Grigio, also called Grauburgunder or Pinot Gris, is currently the most commonly cultivated white wine variety in Alto Adige. The sites subject to Mediterranean influences around Magrè and Salorno have predominantly chalky soils with a high sand and gravel content and are perfect for cultivating this grape variety from the noble Pinot family.

The Alois Lageder winery in Alto Adige comprises fifty five hectares of the family's own vineyards, which are managed on the basis of biodynamic principles. They farm with a holistic approach that is reflected in their wine-growing activities. Alois Lageder have a long-standing relationships with numerous grape growers and their ambition to create awareness for an agriculture that is in tune with nature.
