Spy Valley Marlborough Echelon Methode Traditionelle 2012
This is a not so well-kept Marlborough secret.
Grown in complex and well-drained stony loams, then hand picked, the free run juice was fermented and aged in old oak for 12 months before tirage bottling. Secondary fermentation in the bottle and lees contact for three and a half years before disgorgement.
An exceptional mix of 48% Pinot Noir, 51% Chardonnay (hmm what's the secret 1% Spy Valley!)
Colour is Peach white, bouquet is fresh bread, apple strudel and hints of strawberry. Palate is dry and crisp, the fine bead and delicate flavours make for a perfect aperitif. Released February 2018, this will cellar for another 5 years. Download our Liquor Licence
