Tasting Notes: Delicate coral-pink in the glass. With aromas of wild strawberries, white peaches, and dried rose petal. With flavours of watermelon, pomegranate, and raspberry on the palate, the wines show great texture & balance with bright acidity and a crisp minerality. With a long, lingering finish of summer fruits and fresh cranberry.
Greystone is 100% certified organic with BioGro and practices regenerative agriculture throughout its vineyards.
About Greystone: In 2000 the Thomas family purchased an old sheep farm on the Omihi hills because of its amazing limestone slopes and began work to create the Greystone vineyards. From the outset there was one goal; to craft wines to express the terroir that makes North Canterbury special. By 2004 they’d planted thirteen blocks across 40 hectares, with over half being Pinot Noir. Dom Maxwell, the winemaker, has been there from the first vine planting and is renowned for his experiments in vineyard fermentation. All Greystone wines are grown, made and bottled on-site in our strawbale winery.
