Albert Bichot Gevrey-Chambertin is a full-bodied red Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits, one of the appellations most famous for powerful, structured Pinot Noir.

Côte de Nuits | Family House Since 1831 | Structured Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes

Rich nose featuring slightly toasted notes along with scents of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), which open up to delicate hints of vanilla and liquorice. On the palate, this full-bodied, rich wine is balanced by well-structured, fine tannins. A pleasing sensation of minerality is owed to the vineyard's location at the top of the slope and its full eastern exposure. Lovely length on the fresh, fruity finish.

Serious red Burgundy from one of the Côte de Nuits' great villages.

Why you'll love it: Gevrey-Chambertin is prized for giving Pinot Noir real power and structure, and this has the depth to reward cellaring or a special dinner.

About Albert Bichot

Albert Bichot is a historic Burgundy house, founded in Beaune in 1831 and still family-owned, now run by the sixth generation under Albéric Bichot. It is one of the region's larger names, farming around 100 hectares of certified-organic vineyards across six estates that stretch from Chablis in the north to Beaujolais in the south, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at its heart. The house is also the leading buyer at the historic Hospices de Beaune charity auction.

Perfect with roast duck, venison, or mushroom dishes. A wine for the table and for keeping.
