Amisfield's Brut is a méthode traditionnelle sparkling from their organic Central Otago estate — delicate, dry, and built around mineral purity and toasted brioche.
Pure NZ Excellence | Central Otago | Beautiful NZ Wine
Tasting Notes
Delicate florals and mineral purity meet delicious toasted brioche on the palate, due to its time on lees during tirage. The lower dosage elegantly harmonises with vibrant acidity, creating a perfect aperitif-style sparkling wine.
Exceptional Central Otago sparkling wine showcasing mineral purity and elegant brioche complexity — perfect for special occasions.
Why you'll love it: an elegant aperitif fizz that punches well above the usual supermarket bubbles — lovely for a celebration, or simply because it's Friday.
Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS — 94+ Points (2022 vintage): "White peach, complex lees autolysis, lemon and mineral, with a very light saline quality."
The Awards
Amisfield has earned exceptional recognition in recent years, including the Riedel Vineyard of the Year title at the 2024 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards, following previous wins as Sustainable Vineyard of the Year in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Their commitment to quality has been recognised internationally with Gold Medal wins at the London Wine Competition 2023, and their Pinot Noir consistently scores in the high 90s with Wine Spectator. Most recently, their 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé earned a Gold Medal at the New Zealand Organic Wine Awards 2025.
The Vineyard
Set against the Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single-estate vineyards in Central Otago — a dramatic high country landscape ideal for cool-climate viticulture.
About Amisfield
Established in 1988 beneath the Pisa Range, Amisfield has grown into one of Central Otago's defining estates, specialising in Pinot Noir and aromatic whites from a single vineyard. A minimal-intervention philosophy lets the site's character carry through, and the estate has been fully certified organic by BioGro New Zealand since 2021, following a conversion begun in 2015. It's a genuine, restaurant-quality expression of its place.
Perfect with fresh oysters, smoked salmon canapés, or celebration desserts. The fine bubbles and crisp acidity cleanse the palate between rich bites beautifully.
