Mahi's Marlborough Pinot Gris 2023 is a dry, textural Pinot Gris from the heart of Marlborough.
Marlborough Pinot Gris | Dry and Textural | Barrel-Worked Depth
Tasting Notes
This wine aims to provide a dry Pinot Gris that has texture and depth, rather than focusing solely on primary fruit notes. A wine that satisfies across the palate. Characters from the location, natural-yeast ferments and some barrel ageing give this Pinot Gris complexity and depth. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.
A serious, dry style of Pinot Gris with genuine weight and length.
Why you'll love it: dry, textural and food-friendly, this is Pinot Gris with real substance, made for the table rather than just sipping on its own.
About Mahi
Mahi Wines sits just west of Renwick in the heart of Marlborough, where Brian and Nicola Bicknell have made wine since buying the former Daniel Le Brun estate in 2006. "Mahi" means "your work, your craft" in te reo Māori, and that ethos runs through everything: small-batch, hands-off winemaking from individual vineyard sites, aiming for texture, depth and a true sense of place. The wines are vegan friendly.
Perfect with roast pork, a creamy pasta, or mild Asian spice.
