Tasting Notes
Minerality is brought by Grenache Blanc, apricot and peach aromas by Viognier, and a floral touch by Marsanne. The fresh attack, typical of Roussanne, adds to this aromatic complexity with hints of citrus and a touch of minerals. Deliciously delightful.
A classic southern Rhône white blend: aromatic, fresh, and organically certified from one of the Costières de Nîmes' most respected family estates.
Why you'll love it: Four aromatic varieties, each contributing something distinct, make this a genuinely complex white at a very honest price. Organic, food-friendly, and deeply rooted in the southern Rhône's winemaking tradition.
The Blend
50% Roussanne, 30% Grenache Blanc, 10% Viognier, and 10% Marsanne. Each variety plays its part: Roussanne lifts the palate with freshness and citrus, Grenache Blanc anchors with mineral drive, while Viognier and Marsanne contribute the generous stone fruit and floral character.
About Mas des Bressades
Founded by Roger Marès in 1964 in the Provençal village of Manduel, Mas des Bressades is now directed by his son Cyril, who brings six generations of viticultural heritage to the estate. The 40 hectares of vines in the AOC Costières de Nîmes are farmed sustainably, with yields deliberately kept low at 30 to 40 hectolitres per hectare in favour of quality over volume. The estate achieved certified organic status in 2020.
Perfect with grilled prawns, roast chicken with Provençal herbs, or a classic bouillabaisse. The aromatic complexity and fresh acidity are a natural match for Mediterranean flavours.

I am completely taken by the Mas de Bressades cuvee tradition 2023. I really enjoy Cotes de Rhone blanc - this slightly western cousin displays the delights of the mixture of grapes of Rhone origin.
I am completely taken by the Mas de Bressades cuvee tradition 2023. I really enjoy Cotes de Rhone blanc - this slightly western cousin displays the delights of the mixture of grapes of Rhone origin. The colour is a good golden hue; there is a complex nose that gives different emphasis with development in the glass. It is a good aperitif or excellent with chicken/fish etc dishes. Wonderful with fish cooked in the air fryer served with lentils and a persimmon sauce made from fruit from the garden - the last of this season's crop has just been finished but it survived well in the deep freeze and we will try a mandarin sauce that worked wonderfully with pork fillet/tenderloin. Atlantic salmon (not from Tasmania!) works much better than king salmon (but I grew up on the North Atlantic coast where salmon were, in those days, common) so I would say that! The wine is robust, but the nose and flavours respond and develop beautifully. There is always some enticing complexity. I would like to try other wines from this producer.
