Tasting Notes
Vibrant passionfruit and gooseberry flavours, along with a luscious palate and defining flinty finish, create this fresh and concentrated wine, which exhibits great depth and intensity of fruit flavours. A very non-herbaceous style, this is a stylish example of a single-vineyard Brancott Valley wine.
Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from certified organic Brancott Valley vines, vibrant and concentrated with an appealing flinty finish.
Why you'll love it: A versatile, food-friendly white that works equally well as an aperitif or alongside fresh seafood. Single vineyard quality at an accessible price point.
Reviews
93 points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit (Oct 2025): "Pristine and fabulously aromatic, the wine shows green apple, apricot, fig, and lime zest aromas. The palate delivers excellent fruit intensity, fine texture, and juicy acidity, making it flavoursome and immediately appealing."
The Vineyard
Grown at the top of Marlborough's Brancott Valley, where Odyssey's 25 certified organic acres produce fruit with excellent natural concentration. All grapes are handpicked. This is a single-vineyard wine from one of Marlborough's most distinctive and elevated sites.
About Odyssey Wines
Odyssey Wines is owned by Rebecca Salmond, who trained at Massey University in New Zealand and Adelaide University's Roseworthy College in Australia, graduating with a degree in Biotechnology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Winemaking Science. She then worked in some of the world's finest wine regions: Burgundy, Bordeaux and Cote Rotie in France; Alto Adige and Sicily in Italy; Marlborough and Hawkes Bay in New Zealand. Rebecca launched Odyssey in 1994 with small amounts of premium wines. Odyssey now owns 68 acres in Marlborough's Brancott Valley with 25 acres under vine, managed organically. All wines are single vineyard.
Perfect with fresh Marlborough Sounds green-lipped mussels, Thai fish cakes, or a simple goat cheese salad. The vibrant acidity and flinty finish cut beautifully through seafood and light vegetable dishes.
