Tasting Notes
Vibrant passionfruit and gooseberry flavours, along with a luscious palate and defining flinty finish, create this fresh and concentrated wine, which exhibits great depth and intensity of fruit flavours. A very non-herbaceous style, this is a stylish example of a single-vineyard Brancott Valley wine.
Perfect with fresh seafood, Asian cuisine, or as an elegant aperitif. Serve well-chilled at 8-10°C.
Highly rated by New Zealand's leading wine critics with 93 points from Wine Orbit and 92 points from Cameron Douglas MS.
The Recognition
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - 93 points, 5 Stars: "Intensely aromatic, the wine shows green rockmelon, crunchy apple, kiwifruit and jasmine characters on the nose, followed by a brilliantly expressed palate offering pristine fruit flavours backed by juicy acidity, making it flavoursome and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2026."
Cameron Douglas MS - 92 Points, Premium: "A classically styled expression of SB with a bouquet and palate of fresh citrus and tropical fruit, basil and sage then a stony mineral quality. Crisp, salivating and dry with plenty of energy and drive and flavours that mirror the bouquet. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from the day of purchase through the end of summer 2026."
