Tasting Notes
The Odyssey Reserve Iliad label is reserved for wines that show exceptional finesse and character. This Pinot Noir is concentrated with blackberry and cherry fruit flavours. The sweet fruit, cedary oak and silky tannins give weight to a wine that will age particularly well.
Exceptional Marlborough Pinot Noir with outstanding aging potential—concentrated, elegant, and destined for the cellar.
Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS — 95 Points (Outstanding): "A complex and detailed bouquet with fragrances of raspberries and plums, a stony mineral and dried clay quality... A taut, dry wine that takes time in the glass to open. Flavours of roses, boysenberry, baking spice, and a touch of bacon. Youthful, energetic, and long. Best from 2027 through 2037."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit — 94 Points: "Stylish and refined... Black Doris plum, violet, dried herb, toasted spice and cedar. Rich and weighty with a silky-smooth, fleshy palate. Polished tannins provide structure, finishing gracefully and persistently. Best now to 2030."
Perfect with venison loin, grilled duck breast, or porcini mushroom tagliatelle. The silky tannins and concentrated fruit character complement rich game meats and earthy flavours beautifully.
The Vineyard
Sourced from select parcels in Marlborough's prestigious Brancott Valley, where 68 acres of vineyard produce exceptional fruit. The 25 acres under vine benefit from the region's distinctive terroir and Rebecca's philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking.
