Scottish heritage tribute | Old vine depth | Balanced and harmonious
Tasting Notes
This Grenache shows a vibrant mid-red hue. The nose is perfumed and lifted, with notes of raspberry, wild strawberry, potpourri, thyme, and sweet spice. The medium-bodied palate is plush and juicy, brimming with flavours of strawberry jam, pomegranate, and mint, alongside hints of liquorice and a subtle earthy undertone.
Old vines lend depth and weight, while supple, fleshy tannins enhance the texture, and a fine mineral edge adds precision. Balanced and harmonious throughout, the wine finishes with lingering, juicy berry fruit.
Balanced and harmonious Grenache with old vine depth—perfect expression of varietal elegance and Scottish heritage.
The Varietal
Old vine Grenache provides the depth and weight that elevates this wine beyond simple fruit-forward styles, creating complexity and textural interest.
About Paisley Wines
Small-batch Barossa reds from Derek and Kirsten Fitzgerald's hands-on Angaston estate. Derek's 20+ years of winemaking experience across the Barossa Valley meets genuine hobby-farm passion-they're literally in the vineyard daily alongside their menagerie of farm animals.
Focused on the three varieties Derek believes Barossa does best: Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro. Restaurant-quality character without the corporate polish.
The Fabric Series
This range pays tribute to Kirsten's ancestors, who emigrated from Scotland to Adelaide during the early years of settlement. It honours the textile town of Paisley, near Glasgow.
