Tasting Notes

A deep ruby red colour, with a complex and dense aroma of cassis, blackberry, blackcurrant and wild forest berries, with fine cedar notes, oyster shell and graphite, vanilla, baking spices, some cigar box notes and dark chocolate. The palate is silky and rich, with powerful mid-palate tannins and concentrated blackberry and cassis, and a fine, long savoury finish.

A polished, savoury Hawke's Bay blend with real depth and a long finish.

Why you'll love it: structured but silky, this is a serious Hawke's Bay red that drinks beautifully now and will reward a few years in the cellar.

About Paritua

Paritua is a premium red and white wine producer with a vineyard, winery and cellar door in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. The name is a tribute to the Paritua Stream, which meanders gently through the vineyard. The vines are planted over the historical riverbed of the Ngaruroro River, which flowed through the site before the 1860s earthquake, acknowledging the connection with the land and the people of New Zealand.
