› Tasting Notes
The inaugural release of Swiftsure Bannockburn Pinot Noir has a powerful aromatic profile — both fruitful and savoury — with boysenberry, rhubarb and cherry blossom interwoven with tendrils of smoke and a faint scent of nori.
The palate shows good density with a succession of berry fruit characters and a touch more of the umami feel. The tannins are wrapped in the warmth of vintage days with a vibrancy that evokes the cool, jewelled Central Otago night sky.
› Accolades & Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS: 95 Points – “Distinctive, complex and enticing bouquet of ripe dark-skinned cherry and baked raspberry, with classic cool-climate savoury notes, barrel spice, wood smoke and wild thyme. Taut, youthful, textured and varietal with a delicious core of ripe red berries and savoury spice. A wine to cellar and enjoy from 2026 through 2034+.”
› Food Pairing
Serve with roasted duck breast, wild mushroom ragù, or a truffle-scented lentil salad. Its earthy, savoury character makes it a dream with umami-rich dishes and creamy cheeses like Brie or Taleggio.
