About Vecchia Cantina

Founded in 1937 by 14 pioneering producers, Vecchia Cantina is the oldest winegrowing and winemaking cooperative in Tuscany. For more than 80 years, it has been a driving force in the region, helping to sustain the DOC system after World War II and continuing today as a cornerstone of Tuscan wine, culture, and tradition. The vines are planted on the rolling hills of southern Chianti, at elevations between 250–450 metres above sea level, where the conditions favour balance and elegance in the wines.
