Italian Excellence | Tuscan Sangiovese | Italy's First DOCG
Tasting Notes
This Vino Nobile shows a vivid ruby-red colour with violet reflections. The nose is fresh and persistent, layered with bright red berry fruits, jammy notes, and subtle violet. With age, the wine develops hints of spice, adding further depth. On the palate, it is well-structured and savoury, with excellent freshness and a balanced interplay of tannins and acidity. Versatile and food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with roasted meats and medium-aged cheeses.
A structured, savoury Tuscan Sangiovese with bright red fruit and excellent freshness.
Why you'll love it: a proper Tuscan classic for the table, structured and savoury but full of life, made for long lunches and roasted meats.
About Vecchia Cantina
Founded in 1937 by 14 pioneering producers, Vecchia Cantina is the oldest winegrowing and winemaking cooperative in Tuscany. For more than 80 years it has been a driving force in the region, helping sustain the DOC system after World War II and continuing today as a cornerstone of Tuscan wine, culture and tradition. The vines grow on the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, where the conditions favour balance and elegance.
