Tasting Notes:   Hints of peach, plum, and cherry, which balance a subtle, sweet fragrance, with a deeper, richer, and slightly jammy aroma. Good minerality adds complexity and depth to the wine, while acidity provides a crisp and lively mouthfeel.

If you enjoy Barbera, try these too:
Chianti – Bright cherry and food-friendly acidity, with a touch more herbal character.
Valpolicella Superiore – Light, juicy and easy-drinking with soft spice.
Pinot Noir – Especially from NZ, it shares Barbera’s freshness and red fruit charm.
Gamay (Beaujolais) – Floral, light-bodied, and packed with red berry flavour.

About Barbera:     Juicy, Vibrant, Effortless Italia   Barbera is Piedmont’s go-to red for good reason. Deeply colored and bursting with dark cherry, plum, and soft spice, it’s a wine that delivers bold flavour with a fresh, food-friendly edge. Naturally low in tannin but high in acidity, Barbera is smooth, vibrant, and incredibly easy to love—whether you're pouring it with pizza, pasta, or simply on its own.

An authentic expression of everyday Italian charm, this is the bottle you reach for when you want something generous, balanced, and unmistakably Piedmontese.

About Fontanabianca:    At the Fontanabianca winery they have clear ideas: quality is closely related to the features of the soil in the region of Neive, where Aldo Pola with his family, have been carrying on their work, which the father Franco started in 1969. The tie with the hills which are cultivated with Barbaresco vines was sealed many years ago: the winery is located in the hamlet of Bordini, surrounded by vines which seem to disappear beyond the horizon. Ageing takes place in large oak barrels and the smaller barrique barrels are used for the wine maturation to preserve the taste of grapes in the wine: this is the motto of Fontanabianca.
